Oaklands College are a large Further Education College in Hertfordshire with campuses in Welwyn Garden City and St. Albans, and a further training provision in Borehamwood. They have recieved an overall 'Good' in their Ofsted inspection and are proud to successfully provide 1,500 full and part time courses to nearly 10,000 students.
Their courses range from vocational courses with strong links to employers through to elite sports, the arts and a wide variety of A Levels. They are also nationally recognised for their outstanding provision for students with mild and severe learning difficulties. They also also run their own work-based learning programmes, with close links to local employers, and offer Apprenticeships and Entry to Employment.
The College knows that its staff are integral to its success and consequently offers many services to support their staff's wellbeing and development. Staff can enjoy dicounted gym membership, eye care vouchers, an on-site nursery, and an employee assistance programme amongst many other things. Their staff's development is important to the College in their journey towards excellence. They support all staff to achieve qualifications relevant to their role such as Teacher Training and Assessing, along with Level 2 qualifications in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT for all staff.
