RESPONSIBLE FOR:                    No formal line reporting responsibility

                      

PURPOSE OF JOB:                      To participate in recruitment and selection activities, to undertake preparation, training, assessment, and associated administration duties in line with the college Assessor contract, to ensure that course related documentation is maintained to a high standard in accordance with the requirements of the College, Programme Area and Awarding Bodies. Monitor and review all learner progress within the workplace, to build strong working relationships with employers, involving them in the progress and training requirements of the learner in line with SFA requirements and Apprentice Framework.  To contribute to the development of training, learning and assessment within a designated subject sector, to contribute to the organisation and quality review of courses within a designated subject area and to ensure implementation of college policies and procedures within a designated subject with particular reference to health, safety and safeguarding, equality and sustainability.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:              

Willingness to respond flexibly to the changing demands of work through for example, variation in working times and the availability of new technology.  There may be a requirement to work evenings and weekends and to travel and between community learning venues.To tutor, train and assess/verify an on-going allocation of candidates including IV and Lead IV as appropriate in other subject areas.
