We are looking for a dynamic and creative dyslexia tutor. This post involves assessing and teaching learners with dyslexia across a variety of qualification levels within the college. The role will also involve raising awareness of dyslexia both internally and externally, as well as delivering dyslexia related staff training. Your hours of work will be flexible and may include evenings and weekends according to learner demand. As part of the role you will be required to manage your own caseload of learners, monitor their individual attendance, retention and achievement and work closely with a variety of cross college vocational & support staff within the implementation of the learner’s individual support packages.
The successful candidate will have a related degree level academic/vocational qualification, a teaching qualification, a suitable teaching qualification within the area of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and a Specific Level 7 Dyslexia Professional Qualification or be working towards in view to achieving AMBDA and or APC.
