To assist with the day to day management and administration of the Day Service to ensure a high quality, culturally appropriate service to vulnerable people, presenting with a range of support needs are provided.
To ensure a safe working environment, where all tasks and activities are provided in line with Health & Safety legislation.
To deputise for the Day Centre Manager in their absence.
To assist in the overall management of the service, including all areas of administration, management off staff, and maintenance of the premises
To provide a prompt response to referrals, including home visits, allocation of Key Workers, and all necessary administration in line with the Quality Assurance framework, and Day Services Policies and Procedures.
To be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of individual service user plans and all user specific documentation held in the service; including Risk Assessments and recording of significant events.
To assist in promoting and maintaining effective professional relationships with a range of other agencies to support work with service users.
To be responsible for the continuous development and supervision of a varied activities programme within the service, whilst accessing community based resources including health, leisure and educational opportunities.
To ensure that the views of service users and carers are robustly considered in all aspects of service delivery.
To assist in all aspects of staff management including recruitment, identification of learning and development needs, supervision and performance management as required by HR Policies and Procedures.
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the Centre, and that adequate stocks of materials and equipment are available in relation to the Code of Practice for Health and Adult Social Care on the Prevention and Control of Infection (DOH 2009).
In conjunction with the Manager, monitor budget expenditure and maintain effective systems of recording for the control of all income and expenditure, raising orders, authorising payments, banking income, in accordance with Financial Regulations
To have held a supervisory role
To have worked with the Elderly in Day care or similar setting
To have some experience and awereness of budgetery management and of the financial system.
To at least have NVQ 3 in adults social care or similar
To be able to demonstrate leadership
