The Adult and Community Learning provision at South Staffordshire College requires Family Learning lecturers to teach Wider Family Learning (WFL) and Family English, Maths and Languages (FEML) courses in schools and early years centres across South Staffordshire. This is a great opportunity for those wishing to work with adult learners and their families to develop their skills.

WFL programmes are specifically designed to enable adults and children to learn together or to enable adults to learn how to support their children’s learning. WFL programmes are designed to engage families and encourage collaborative through practical and enjoyable activities.

FEML programmes are aimed at, and designed for adults with English, Maths and Language needs. Courses are designed to improve the English, Maths and Language skills of adults, help adults to support their children’s learning and development as well as prepare learners to progress onto Functional Skills courses. A knowledge of the National Curriculum is advantageous.

The successful candidates will have relevant subject knowledge and skills, a recognised subject qualification and related experience in the area. Teaching experience is also essential, ideally with adult learners.

You will hold a teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards it as part of the College Personal Development scheme.
