Well done to students from City College Coventry students who have placed a close second in the final of the Fujitsu Operation Innovation competition.
City College Coventry students represented the College in the final of the Fujitsu Operation Innovation competition, which was held in November at Bletchley Park. The College was up against College and University Level groups from across the UK.
To the group’s immense credit they were placed second, and then only by the narrowest of margins. The group presented their tech idea, based around VR headsets enabling building contractors to gain a common ‘view’ despite potential language barriers.
The judges praised the levels of quality, knowledge and professionalism demonstrated in the final presentations, despite coming second, one of the judging companies has approached the group with the possibility of commercialising their idea, so watch this space.
Ash Merchant, Director of Education for Fujitsu in the UK & Ireland presented an award to two of the students involved in the project, Connor Parsons & Kyle Caruana at their recent Shine Awards in December.
